Robert Lembke thought Medicine to be a science which tries to "prevent people from dying of natural causes". And that’s exactly what the medical faculty are doing in increasingly ingenious ways. There are a lot of exciting developments to report: New sciences like tissue engineering; the use of chips containing our complete genetic code, chips the size of a babies fingernail; about the chances and risks of evidence based medicine or even about the service supply situation for German patients, and they are the ones who should not be forgotten.
